Number of New Extrasolar Planets Reaches Ten

August 7, 2000  The number of newly-discovered extrasolar planets has now reached ten, with one being a Jovian class planet that orbits a nearby star called Epsilon Eridani.  (Please note that the total count of extrasolar planets now stands at about 50.)  BBC Article.
