Very Unusual Star Has Astronomers Puzzled

September 1, 2000   Using the Hubble Space Telescope, astronomers have captured the image of a kind of star that has never been seen before.  This star has bead-like clumps of matter spewing out of it about every 100 years. The clumps of material being ejected by the star have speeds in the neighborhood of 375,000 miles per hour and extend outwards in rays -- as can be seen in the photo below.  Science Daily Article.
