Hubble Astronomers
Observe Searchlight Beam from July 7, 2000 Using the Hubble Space Telescope, astronomers have observed a black hole that is emitting a very energetic and narrow stream of particles that is similar to a searchlight beam. The beam extends into space for trillions of miles and is representative of a whole family of black holes that emit particles in a narrow beam. The NASA photo below shows the effect. Article.
