New Elementary Particle Discovered

July 21, 2000   Using one of the world's most powerful particle accelerators, high energy physicists have observed a new elementary particle that is being called a "Tau Neutrino."  It is thought that the discovery of this particle completes our understanding of nature's basic building blocks.
